  • Shipping and Delivery
    1. Processing time Products are shipped from Cebu. Because we are a team of 2, all orders (domestic and international) will be shipped on Saturday. 2. Shipping within the Philippines Domestic shipping is done via JRS or LBC. Local standard shipping is 4-5 working days. 3. International shipping International shipping is done via FedEx. International standard shipping is 2-3 weeks. We are not responsible for any customs and import duty charges. Customer will have to shoulder the custom fee once the package arrives. We are unable to determine what the costs would be as custom policies and import duties vary from country to country. 4. Delays or lost items We will do our best to meet these dispatch estimates, but can't guarantee them. Please note, we cannot take responsibility for the postal service. Items are not considered lost in the mail until 30 working days have passed.
  • Returns and Exchanges
    ​1. Do you accept returns and exchanges? We accept returns and exchanges but only if the item you received is incorrect or damaged. We provide a full refund including the cost of shipping the product back to us. Although, you will initially have to pay for the shipping cost. Items must be returned in their original condition. It should also be in its original packaging. The buyer is responsible for any loss in value. For exchanges, the item you would like in exchange should be of the same value. If the alternative item you want is more expensive, you will have to pay the balance and if the item is cheaper we will refund the balance. 2. When do I have to return the item? Contact us within 5 days of delivery and dispatch items back within 10 days of delivery. 3. When do I get my money back? We will notify you once we have received the returned item. We will inspect the item to double check its condition. Once this is complete we will deposit or credit the amount you paid to your bank/Paypal account. Please note that we are reliant on your card provider to complete the transaction but we will do our best to refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned item. 4.   • Privacy Policy
    1. What data do we collect and how will we use it? We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile. 2. How do we collect information? When you conduct a transaction on our website (send you a message through our contact form, purchase a product in our store, or when they subscribe to your newsletter), as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only. 3. Why do we collect such personal information? We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes: - To provide and operate our services; - For shipping purposes; - To send our newsletter with updates, educational content, deals and promos; - To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support; - To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages; - To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;  - To comply with any applicable laws and regulations. 4. How do you store, use, share and disclose our site visitors' personal information? Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.   All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.  ​5. How do we communicate with our site visitors? We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail. ​6. How can our site visitors withdraw their consent? If you don’t want us to process your data anymore, please contact us at shopkinabuhi@gmail.com. 7. Privacy policy updates We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.     1. Website owner, the offering, and binding of Terms This website is owned and operated by Kinabuhi Studio. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors ready-to-purchase and custom order fashion products. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. 2. Who can use our website? What are the requirements to create an account? In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you. 3. Key commercial Terms offered to customers When buying an item, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process. ​The prices we charge for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing is available on the payments page. ​4. Retention of right to change offering We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason. ​5. Ownership of intellectual property, copyrights and logos The Service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of Kinabuhi Studio. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a licence in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, licence, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works thereof. ​6. Right to suspend or cancel user account We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or any services at any time.  ​7. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold Kinabuhi Studio. harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website. ​8. Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Kinabuhi Studio, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service. ​To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kinabuhi Studio assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorised access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein. ​9. Right to change and modify Terms We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review these pages periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the service. ​10. Promotional emails and content You agree to receive from time to time promotional messages and materials from us, by mail, email or any other contact form you may provide us with (including your phone number for calls or text messages). If you don't want to receive such promotional materials or notices – please just notify us at any time.  ​11. Preference of law and dispute resolution These Terms, the rights and remedies provided hereunder, and any and all claims and disputes related hereto and/or to the services, shall be governed by, construed under and enforced in all respects solely and exclusively in accordance with the internal substantive laws of the Philippines, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any and all such claims and disputes shall be brought in, and you hereby consent to them being decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in Mandaue City, Cebu. The application of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is hereby expressly excluded.
  • What types of fabrics and trims can you provide or source and where are they from?
    FABRICS -Handwoven fabrics made of undyed Philippine cotton/Abaca paper yarn/Philippine cotton-Abaca blend/Philippine cotton-pineapple blend, Handwoven fabrics made of deadstock or scrap sewing thread: Made in partnership with Hablonan ni Lauriana in Argao, Cebu -Deadstock fabrics/scrap fabrics: Sourced from a variety Manila/Cebu-based garment factories and fabric resellers TRIMS - Regular/invisible/jacket zippers: Sourced from YKK - Buttons made of natural materials (coconut/shell): Sourced from Blak fabrics, a Cebu-based fabric/trims trader - Custom garment, care labels and size labels (5000 pcs. Minimum order quantity for the custom garment and care labels): Sourced from Wisp and Warp
  • Are the weavers and makers paid a living wage?
    We are still in the process of determining what a living wage is for our partner weavers and makers. Starting January 2025, we are collecting data needed to identify what a real living wage would be for our weavers and makers. However, the weavers and makers are currently paid above the government mandated minimum wage. The weavers are currently paid 600 php a day and the makers are currently paid between 600-1000 php a day. The minimum wage in Cebu is between 453-501 php a day, depending on the location.
  • What is your minimum order quantity for Custom Garment or Soft Furnishing?
    We have a minimum order quantity of 15 pieces for garments made of scrap fabrics/deadstock fabrics (a variety of colours) and a minimum order quantity of 12 pieces per colour for garments made of handwoven fabrics.
  • What is the Custom Garment or Soft Furnishing order process like?
    Step 1: Select your preferred design from our catalogue or send us sketches/ specification sheets of your own design and let us know how many pieces you would like us to make and what type of fabric and trims you prefer. Step 2: We will send you options for fabric and trims based on the materials available. Step 3: We will do the costing for your product and share a quotation for prototyping and production. Step 4: Once the quotation is approved, we will send an invoice for the prototype. Full payment is required before prototyping. Step 5: Once payment is complete, we will proceed with the prototyping. Prototyping can take between 7 - 14 business days. *Note: business days are Monday to Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm Philippine time) Step 6: Once the prototype is complete, we will send you clear photos of the finished product or mail you the garment for review. Step 7: Once the prototype is approved for production, we will send an invoice for production. 50% downpayment is required before production. Step 8: Once the payment is complete, we will procure the materials needed and start with production. Step 9: Once production is complete, we will send you an invoice for the remaining 50% payment. Step 10: Once payment is complete, we will ship the products to you.
  • What is the estimated production time of handwoven textiles?
    The production time depends on the number of metres of fabric that you order, the design and the availability of our partner artisans. 3 metres of a complex design similar to this, may take 12 business days to complete (including the time to secure the materials needed). 3 metres of a simple design similar to this, may take 10 business days to complete (including the time to secure the materials needed). *Note: business days are monday to friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm Philippine time)
  • Who creates the products?
    We currently have two sewers, Ely Lapeceros and Belen Rosales. They are based in Cebu city. You can learn more about them here. We also have a new maker on board to support us with production, Adelia Malinao of Yanniz Designs, a Cebu-based garment manufacturer. For our machine embroidery, we work with Lorna Sapio, a Cebu-based independent embroiderer.
  • What is the estimated production time for Custom Garment or Soft Furnishing?
    The production time depends on the order quantity, product design and availability of our artisans. We can currently produce around 30 garments a week.
  • Who produces the handwoven textiles?
    We partner with Hablonan ni Lauriana, a community of handloom weavers in Argao, Cebu, to create our original handwoven textiles woven on traditional Visayan floor looms. We design our contemporary textiles in collaboration with the weavers in this community while also taking inspiration from traditional Philippine textile patterns.
  • What other services can you offer on top of garment production?
    Generating specification sheets/technical packs for production, Photography/videography of the production process and finished product, and Machine embroidery .
  • What raw materials/yarn do you use and where are they from?
    You can see information about the materials used for our handwoven textiles here. We are collaborating with and supporting Fibershed Philippines in their goal to support local cotton and abaca farmers grow fibre using regenerative agricultural practices. We ultimately intend to use regenerative Philippine natural fibre yarn (made of PH cotton, abaca and pineapple) in all our natural fibre textiles. In addition to the materials, we also use oeko-tex standard 100 certified cotton yarn manufactured by Monaco Manufacturing Inc., a Manila-based yarn manufacturer and dye house.
  • Can you design products on our behalf?
    We don’t currently offer design services but may reproduce existing product designs in our catalogue.
